Do you reach the end of your day with tasks completed but nothing that moved the needle? Task-switching leads to decision fatigue and feeling “busy,” but busy isn’t productive or useful.
Commit to two guardrails or boundaries that will enable you to have better focus. Turn off your notifications, badges and alerts on your email and any program you’ll look at anyway. Set office hours and don’t look at or respond to messages after that specified time. Schedule emails or texts, so they don’t rob people of their off-hours (and yours!).
Commit to a guardrail to work well and play more!
